MIT provides state of the art hostel facility for its students. There are total
seven hostels including a newly built girls' hostel. All the hostels are well maintained
and are equipped with all the modern facilities like telephones, color television,
common rooms, ward servants, in-house games room and canteens.
With the intake of about 200 students every year, the total strength of students
in the institute is about 900. Altogether there are seven hostels, providing accommodation
to all students. Out of these seven, hostel No.-1 and hostel for girls are located
within the campus. Rest five are situated at one place outside the campus just in
front of gate No.-1 of the institute. There are single seated rooms which are normally
allocated to final year and pre-final year boarders. Multi-seated accommodation
constitute 2-seated & 3-Seated rooms which are allotted to the students of 1st &
2nd year. Out of these seven hostels, one is smaller which is called Welfare hostel,
exclusively meant for scheduled caste & scheduled tribe students is under the control
of welfare department.
